Biografie

Katerina Bohac Linares was born in Caracas, Venezuela.  Her father who was Czech was the one, who introduced to her the European culture from an early age. Her mother who is Venezuelan, she taught her Venezuelan and she also developed her passion to the art. Katerina studied fine arts at the University of the Andes in Mérida and at the Institute for Advanced Studies of Art Armando Reveron in the city of Caracas, where he graduated and got Master degree from Fine Arts with a major in ceramics. During her studies she already realized several works in the area of performance and urban installation.

Katerina Bohac Linares has also participated in solo and group exhibitions in Venezuela, Italy, Austria and the Czech Republic, introducing ceramics and paintings. Currently she is dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of Latin American art in the Czech Republic. She is the founder of the Latin Art Gallery. She exposes her work and also of other artists in the Latin Art Gallery  in the center of Prague.
